Privacy and Data Protection

PWCRC Information Privacy Policy Data Disclaimer
The Committee takes its responsibility to safeguard the personal data of its members seriously. The Committee recognizes that it is under no obligation to provide member information to another party or to send third party messages to its members, and cooperation is always at the Chairman’s discretion.

The general policy is to limit distribution of member data and for specific purposes. Requests should be made to the Secretary at secretary@PWCGOP.org. By requesting information, the party acknowledges agreement with this Policy and to the Data Disclaimer, listed at www.PWCGOP.org.

For Committee members, we will always provide basic member contact information for personal use.

For Party organizations, elected Republican officials, and official Republican nominees, we will always provide member information as requested but will strive to minimize the detail.  Only the elected official or Republican candidate, or their formally appointed staff member, may request data.

The requesting party must justify its need for member information, only use data for the stated purpose, and respect opt-out requests from members. Data shall not be provided to another party without permission.

For nomination campaigns, it is an opt-in situation whereby we will forward three campaign emails to our members. Submit announcements to communications@PWCGOP.org.

The following privacy protection policy applies to any party which receives information about PWCRC members:

PRIVACY PROTECTION. The Prince William County Republican Committee takes personal data privacy seriously. PWCRC member information is to be used solely for the purpose for which is was requested, shall not be used or re-distributed for other purposes without approval, and opt-out requests must be respected.

Speaker Program Policy

The intent of the monthly Speaker Program is for Prince William County Republican Committee members to directly hear from and interact with their elected Republican officials who represent them.

Participation in the Program's discussion is limited to PWCRC members and the speaker.

Others who wish to address the Committee are welcome to attend PWCRC meetings and speak during Campaign Time at the beginning of meetings or at General Announcements time near the close of the meetings, as appropriate to their status.
